Update: This event has been postponed until 2021 due to the pandemic.

Somebody's gotta say it, so it might as well be us: We're PUMPED for Yakima's first Insane Inflatable 5K, coming May 23 to the SOZO Sports Complex. The video above gives you a good idea of what you're in for, but it can't come close to conveying the heart-pounding fun of running through the surreal landscape of giant inflatable obstacles. You just have to experience it for yourself.

And if you're going to get in on it, you need to get after it now -- because the sooner you sign up, the cheaper it'll be.

Right now, general admission is $37 and an all-access pass is $75. But prices go up soon, and slots are filling up fast. Here's the rate schedule for general admission tickets:

  • Jan. 25-March 12: $37
  • March 13-April 2: $42
  • April 3-23: $47
  • April 24-May 7: $52
  • May 8-21: $57

After that, it's $65 for general admission.

Events run in waves starting at 8:30 a.m. The last one takes off at 11 a.m., but the fun continues all day.

It's a great family play day in a safe environment -- and it's great exercise!

And if you haven't been to the SOZO Sports Complex yet, here's your chance to check it out. It's at 2200 S 36th Ave.

We'll keep you posted on upcoming deadlines for signups and price changes as the time gets nearer, but the longer you wait, the more it'll inflate!

See you at SOZO!
