World Cup Viewing Party At Re-Opened Sports Center This Friday

Its a sign - literally - that has Yakima area soccer fans spinning!

After a lengthy closure due to renovations being made, the iconic Sports Center neon sign will be spinning again starting Friday (6/28) and will kick it off with a viewing party for the US Women's National Soccer Team when they face France in the quarterfinals of the World Cup. The match begins at 12:00 p.m. on the pitch at Parc des Princes stadium.

The timing couldn't be better for a group of local Seattle Sounders fans who've dubbed themselves the Dry Side Supporters. For many seasons, the Sports Center has been their rally point to view Sounders FC road matches.
