Two Washington State Men Still Alive at 2013 World Series of Poker Main Event
The 44th annual World Series of Poker continues with the seventh and final day of play at the Main Event with 27 players vying to make it to the final table.
The "November Nine" will be whittled down to starting at 12 noon today at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV.
This year's field began with 6,352 players who bought in for $10,000 apiece. The total prize money available this year is nearly $60 million, with the winner getting the coveted WSOP bracelet and a cool $8.35 million in winnings!
The current chip leader, Anton Morgenstern (21,955,000) of Berlin, Germany, currently holds a 50% chip lead over his closest competitor, Frenchman Sylvain Loosli (14,125,000).
Of the 27 remaining players, TWO of them hail from Washington State. Yevgeniy Timoshenko of Mukilteo (5,310,000) and Rep Porter (2,675,000) of Woodinville are currently in 18th and 24th places, respectively.
