
Snoqualmie Pass Will Have Delays The Next Few Days
Drivers should prepare for delays east of Snoqualmie Pass due to daytime lane closures and full nighttime closures.
Crews working to improve nighttime visibility so drivers will experience single-lane closures westbound only during the day from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23 and Friday, Feb. 24.
Overnight, drivers will experience full closures of I-90 in both directions: · I-90 westbound, Stampede Pass interchange, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. and I-90 eastbound, east of the summit, 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday night, Feb. 23 to Friday morning, Feb. 24. · I-90 westbound, Stampede Pass interchange, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. and I-90 eastbound, east of the summit, 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Friday night, Feb. 24 to Saturday morning, Feb. 25.
Crews will reopen both directions of I-90 every two hours to clear out traffic. In an effort to improve visibility and safety at night on I-90, crews are installing additional reflectors along barriers and installing LED lane markers where possible.
Crews are also removing built-up snow in the lanes along Keechelus Lake and cleaning the road dirt off the side panels to improve reflectivity.
A reduced speed of 45-miles per hour at night will assist drivers navigating through the eastbound lanes east of the summit; the temporary speed reduction will be in effect until visibility along the lake improves.
