Another Pippin from the 2014 season returns to Yakima this summer, as the club announced Tuesday that infielder Mitch Skaggs will be back for the 2015 season.

A fan favorite in the Pippins inaugural  season, Skaggs, who plays during the school year for College of Idaho, had a productive year in a Pippins uniform last summer. He hit .241 with two home runs, 11 doubles and 22 RBI, spending most of the summer at third base. Returning manager Marcus McKimmy said he expects him to contribute in a similar fashion when West Coast League baseball begins on June 5.

Meantime, the 2014 East Division champion Pippins are busy preparing for the upcoming campaign.  Season tickets are currently on sale at their office at State Fair Park in the Shattuck Building or at www.pippinsbaseball.com. Fan can also call 509-575-HITS (4487) or email info@pippinsbaseball.com
