**A study by an Oregon State University entomologist looks at the soil-nesting wasp, Astata unicolor, that loves dining on brown marmorated stink bugs and could be a potential biological control for BMSB.

According to growingproduce.com, while this information is promising, David Lowenstein warns it’s still too soon to tell how well the wasp could manage BMSB.

Lowenstein says Astata have specialized nesting requirements, which limits where they’ll live. It remains POSSIBLE the wasp could nest in habitat near the crops.
