Would MLB Fans View Champ, Stats as Legit in 50-game Season?

NEW YORK (AP) — Baseball players and owners are locked in a bitter dispute over how to start a season amid the coronavirus pandemic. There's been talk about having a 50-game season. But how would fans feel? Would they regard the World Series champion as legit? And suppose a player hit .400 — would that mark go into the record book alongside the likes of Ted Williams? Many fans say they want to see Major League Baseball this year. If they do get a shortened season, then they'll have to decide how to view the stats, awards and champion.
