SAN DIEGO (AP) — Tiger Woods returned to the PGA Tour yesterday by playing in the opening round of the Farmers Insurance Open in San Diego. The result may not have been what he wanted, as the former world No. 1 starts the second round today 11 shots off the pace.

The event is the first in over a year and a half for Woods as he has had to deal with two back surgeries.

The leader after a 65 is Justin Rose. Woods shot an opening-round 4-over 76.
