Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Yakima… Here’s What We Can Expect
Well, the last time a winter weather advisory" was issued by the National Weather Service for Yakima, it materialized and we ended up with extremely slick roads and school delays.
Another winter weather advisory has been issued for pretty much all of the Yakima Valley. According to the National Weather Service:
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO
10 AM PST THURSDAY...
* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet
accumulations of 2 to 4 inches and ice accumulations of up to
one tenth of an inch are expected.
* WHERE...Kittitas Valley and Yakima Valley.
* WHEN...From 4 PM this afternoon to 10 AM PST Thursday morning.
We'll be keeping an eye on all of this for you. IF there are any school delays Thursday morning, we'll have your first updates starting at 5 a.m. You can always check out the latest school delays and closures, powered by Stewart Suburu, here.
