Football season is almost here! Which team will show the most improvement? Will it be the Seahawks, the Huskies, or the Cougars?

Last season was kind of disappointing for football fans here in Washington. The Seahawks equaled their 2010 season record, but finished out of the playoffs. The Cougars dismal record lead to the firing of coach Paul Wulf. Of the three, you could say the Huskies were the most successful, going to a bowl game.

What about this year?

In Montlake, the Huskies have shown steady improvement under coach Steve Sarkisian. They do have unanswered questions at quarterback and running back.

In Pullman, new coach Rick Leach will try to resurrect a WSU program that has failed miserably in recent years.

In Renton, the Seahawks hope to continue the momentum that they showed in the second half of 2011. The offensive line has to stay healthy, and there are questions on the defensive line as well. Did they upgrade enough through the draft and free agency to challenge in the NFC West?
