Utah Doubles Down With Huff, Edwards to Beat Washington
SEATTLE (AP) — Megan Huff and Dre'Una Edwards both posted double-doubles on Sunday to lead Utah past Washington 58-43.
Huff scored 25 points, shooting 12 of 19 from the field, and gathered 12 rebounds. Edwards finished with 14 points and missed just two of nine shots and had 10 rebounds. The duo grabbed two-thirds of Utah's 33 rebounds.
Utah (15-1, 4-1 Pac-12) has won three straight and Washington (8-9, 1-4) has dropped six of seven.
T.T. Watkins scored the first basket of the game to give the Huskies their only lead as Edwards made back-to-back shots to start a 15-2 run. The Utes led 19-12 after the first quarter and 39-24 at intermission. Despite making just 1 of 17 from 3-point range, and 5 of 10 from the free-throw line, the Utes finished 26-of-51 shooting overall.
Amber Melgoza scored 14 points for the Huskies.
