Toys for Tots at Steve Hahn

It was an icy-cold, slippery morning, but that didn't stop Yakima from sliding into the Steve Hahn Auto Group to drop off toys -- and cash -- for this year's Toys for Tots drive on Friday (Dec. 13).

The Yakima Toys for Tots Foundation is still accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys (and did we mention cash?) for a few more days, but the Marine Corps -- which has led the drive since it began back in 1947 -- was there with one of their massive supply trucks to haul the toys away from the car dealership.

The Marines weren't the only ones there Friday. Mickey and Minnie Mouse, the Grinch and a steady stream of local celebrities showed up between 6 and 9 a.m. to talk with local television reporters, KATS' Timmy, John Riggs from 92.9 The Bull, and Lance Tormey and Mike Bastinelli from News Talk KIT.

Like we said, if you couldn't make it to Steve Hahn's, you've still got time to donate. But you'd better hurry -- a lot of kids up and down the Yakima Valley would sure appreciate it.
