Despite another strong start from Cullen Kafka, the Pippins lost their third straight heartbreaker on Friday, this time a 4-3 walkoff loss to the Walla Walla Sweets.
After blowing a four run lead in the 8th inning, Nick DiCarlo picked the Pippins up with a go ahead two run triple in the eleventh inning to beat the Cowlitz Black Bears 7-5 on Sunday.
The Pippins offense came out hot early and the bullpen was able to quiet a late Cowlitz rally to send the Pippins to a 7-5 win over the Black Bears on Friday.
After struggling in their last series against the AppleSox, the Pippins offense came alive on Wednesday to beat the Gresham GreyWolves 13-8 in a non-league matchup.
