FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — Remy Martin had 15 points to lead top seeded Kansas, and the Jayhawks opened their 50th NCAA Tournament with an 83-56 victory over Texas Southern.
Kansas maintained its grip on the No. 1 ranking in The AP men's college basketball poll. The Jayhawks remains at the top for a third straight week. Gonzaga stay at No. 2.
In a week of upheaval in the AP Top 25. The Kansas Jayhawks received all 64 first-place votes from the media panel. Gonzaga was No. 2 with #3 Dayton and #4 Baylor.
