It was 36 years ago today (December 15) that the Seattle Seahawks became the first-ever franchise in professional sports to retire a jersey number in honor of their fan base.

On Saturday, Kenny Easley became the fourth member of the Seattle Seahawks to be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH. Easley gave a 20-plus minute speech that, ultimately, was truncated when the teleprompter he was reading his speech from, failed.
First-year eligibles LaDainian Tomlinson, Jason Taylor and Brian Dawkins are among 15 modern-era finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Also making the finals are Morten Andersen, Tony Boselli, Isaac Bruce, Don Coryell, Terrell Davis, Alan Faneca, Joe Jacoby, Ty Law, John Lynch, Kevin Mawae, Terrell Owens and Kurt Warner.
