President Donald Trump mostly stuck to sports Monday while honoring the World Series champion Washington Nationals at the South Lawn of the White House.
Artifacts from the World Series are headed to the Baseball Hall of Fame, including the ball hit by Washington's Howie Kendrick off the right-field foul pole for the go-ahead home run in Game 7.
Two home runs by the Nationals' Kendrick and Rendon in the seventh helped overcome a two-run deficit, to rock the Astros 6-2. Giving them their first World Series title.
Kendrick hit a tiebreaking grand slam in the 10th inning and the Nationals, boosted by a lightning rally against Clayton Kershaw, beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-3.
