Downtown Yakima truly comes alive during the warm, balmy summer nights.

The summer downtown meet and greet concerts feature live music from 2 different bands every Thursday through the summer months.

Come and be part of the filming of the Yakima P.D. Lip Sync Challenge video ,Thursday (Aug. 2) at Downtown Summer Nights from 7-7:30 p.m.

We only have two more weeks of Downtown Summer Nights and as the temperatures cool, the flavor of the music gets hotter with Avion and Rafael Tranquilino. The free entertainment starts at 6 p.m. on North Front Street with a Latin, blues, rock and funk vibe that will surely get you and the family dancing.

It's still summer. It's still downtown. But the nights are dwindling. With just three more Downtown Summer Nights concerts left, we're appreciating them all the more! And tonight (Aug. 4) brings the awesome sounds of Snug Harbor and Yakima Valley favorite Camille Bloom.

Downtown Summer Nights is going to be the best night ever. Not to mention that the weather in Yakima will be amazing! The event is free, but, the band is going to rock our whole city! Too Slim & The Taildraggers will be on stage bringing the excellent rock, southern rock and blues to historic North Front Street, July 21.

Here we go! Starting this week, another season of Downtown Summer Nights is set to fill your Thursday evenings with music and laughter all summer! The food will be excellent and so will the drinks! It all starts again this Thursday (June 16) from 5:30-9 p.m. at our new location -- Front Street.

We are always in need of something fun to do in Yakima Valley. We have had some fun times this summer. Downtown Summer Nights has been amazing, especially the 'Van Eps' night with KATS-FM. Now 'Second Saturday' is in play. The Downtown Association is putting together 'Second Saturday' for all of us to have even more fun in Yakima Valley!

On July 11th, 2013, we filled 4th street in downtown Yakima with Downtown Summer Nights. Fino rocked the crowd, the beverage garden was packed and we had some great dancers in the streets. Here are some of the pictures from our fourth week of Downtown Summer Nights.
