Cole Jones and Kyle Dean provided the big blows in a three run eighth inning to help lead the Pippins to their eighth straight win and a sweep of the Lefties in front of a packed Yakima County Stadium on Friday.
Chase Farrell turned in another strong start and the Pippins offense continued their torrid stretch, beating the Lefties 9-2 for their seventh straight win.
After rallying back several times, the Pippins offense couldn't find one more rally in the eleventh, dropping the first game of the series to the Corvallis Knights 5-4.
Down to their final strike three times, the Pippins overcame a two run ninth inning deficit and defeated the Port Angeles Lefties 11-9, picking up their first road series win of the season.
Despite Chase Farrell's record setting 12 strikeouts, the Pippins offense couldn't give him much support in a 3-1 loss to the Port Angeles Lefties on Friday.
