Stewart Subaru’s Yakima Humane Society Gift Will Feed a Lot of Mouths
A donation of nearly $15,000 from Stewart Subaru will go a long way toward helping the Yakima Humane Society feed and care for the cats, dogs and other homeless animals the independent, nonprofit agency tries to rescue.
The car dealership's general manager, Mark Prater, presented Humane Society outreach manager Nicole Papageorgiou with the $14,498 check at Stewart Subaru's headquarters, 506 Fruitvale Blvd., Thursday afternoon.
As she explains in the video above, the money -- part of a community outreach program by Subaru -- will be a huge help to the 111-year--old Humane Society.
Prater says his company has redoubled its efforts to focus its humanitarian contributions on local causes and organizations.
