Oooooooh ... spring is in the air and so it's time for Spring Barrel throughout the Yakima Valley and beyond! Did you know Yakima Valley is celebrating 30 years as the first official wine region in the Pacific Northwest? Well, it's true. So if you've been craving quality time with other winos, your time has come. So let's bring on the wine!

Beginning Friday (April 27) and continuing through Sunday (April 29), you have the ability to travel through our beautiful valley to visit different wineries. You can go VIP style and purchase your premier pass to experience a variety of specialty food pairings, library tastings and tours that are not available to the public. Ooh la la for real.

*PRO TIP: This is a HUGE weekend, so make sure to bring YOUR favorite wine glass as the wineries cannot provide enough glasses to satisfy the thirsty crowds sipping their way through the list of Spring Barrel stops. Worried you won't have enough stops? Don't! There are 44-plus wineries to choose from and you can check one of the many maps by clicking here.

If you are NOT into big crowds, consider a new feature this year called Winemaker's Table Experience available Saturday and Sunday. Eight local wineries are opening their doors to the exclusive Winemaker's Table Experience holders -- CLICK HERE to purchase. (And you'd better be quick because this will sell out.)

Sunnyside, Grandview and Prosser area wineries made it on the map, too -- CLICK HERE

Heading in the vicinity of Benton City and Red Mountain? There is a map for that as well CLICK HERE

Sip and taste your way through the valley this weekend and be proud to live in an area that people travel from around the globe to visit.

And tag @sarahjthedj with photos of your adventures if you're up for it :)
