Favre holds the NFL record for consecutive starts by a player and most consecutive starts by a quarterback. He was named Most Valuable Player three consecutive years from 1995 to 1997. Favre was a member of the Green Bay Packers' team that won Super Bowl XXXI. Near the end of his career, Favre often retired or hinted at retirement, then came back to play at the start of the regular season.

Chris Pronger

Best Known For: Chris Pronger is a defenseman for the Philadelphia Flyers. He has played with the Hartford Whalers, St. Louis Blues, Edmonton Oilers and Anaheim Ducks since debuting in the NHL in 1993. He was selected to the NHL All-Rookie Team in 1994. While playing for the St. Louis Blues in 2000, Pronger won the Hart Trophy as the league's most valuable player and the Norris Trophy as the best defenseman. He was a member of the Ducks' team that won the 2007 Stanley Cup. Pronger was on the Canadian national teams that won gold medals at the 2002 and 2010 Winter Olympics.
