From April 11 to April 13, the SkillsUSA State Conference took place in Renton. 103 Contestants were awarded Gold Medals for their competition, me being one of them.

SkillsUSA is a leadership and technical skills organization. It provides a chance for students to compete in technical and leadership competitions. Everything from Engineering to Culinary Arts are included.

I participated in the Television (Video) Production Contest. Me and my Team member, Alex Knight, as well as nine other teams competed in this contest. We were given a prompt, three hours to shoot video and three hours to edit it together. Alex and I took first place and are moving onto Nationals at Kansas City in June. Wish us luck!
