Seattle Kraken Melt in Colorado. Avalanche Win to Tie Series 1-1
This exciting second season in the NHL continues for PNW hockey fans.
It's back to Seattle for Game Three of the Stanley Cup playoff series between the Seattle Kraken and Colorado Avalanche. However, tonight's outcome was not what the Kraken fans hoped for.
Colorado Avalanche Even Series vs Seattle Kraken - Win 3 to 2
After an exciting game #1 in Colorado Tuesday which saw the Seattle Kraken win their franchise-first-ever Stanley Cup Playoff Game, the Colorado Avalanche were able to even the series at one game apiece, with a 3 to 2 victory in Colorado.
The Kraken struck first in the first period and took a 1-to-0 lead. Moments later, Seattle scored its second goal, and things looked good at 2-to-0. That lead wouldn't last as the Avalanche evened the score at 2-2 with two goals of their own in the second period. All they needed for the win was a lone goal in the third period to seal the victory.
Game 3 Kraken vs Avalanche Set For Saturday, April 22nd in Seattle
Seattle hosts games 3 and 4 at Climate Pledge Arena, on Saturday, April 22nd, and Monday, April 24th at 7 pm respectively.
With the win tonight, the Avalanche ensures a return home to Colorado for Game 5 on Wednesday, April 26th. If necessary, game 6 would come back to Seattle, and, if necessary, game 7 would wrap up the series in Colorado.
