Seahawks Lineman J.R. Sweezy Walks To Create Awareness For Alzheimer’s Disease
Seattle Seahawks offensive lineman J.R. Sweezy's grandfather was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease nine years ago. As his condition has deteriorated, Sweezy and his wife have started a team that will participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer's. The team is named #the12s and the couple is asking fans to join their team and support the cause.
The Alzheimer's Association is helping J.R. raise awareness about his team with the hashtags #the12s; #endALZ; #Walk2EndALZ.
J.R. will be playing the Chargers the day of the Seattle Walk (Aug. 29), but his wife, Gissell, his grandma, Janet, and his mom, Susie, will be at the Seattle Walk along with other Seahawks wives/significant others.
