Rock the Vote: Ballots Due Tomorrow
Voters in Yakima City Council Districts 2, 4 and 6 have until tomorrow, Tuesday, November 7th, to turn in their ballots for the November 7th general election. Ballots returned via the U.S. mail must be postmarked no later than 11:59 pm November 7th to be counted.
There are multiple options for casting ballots in person besides the U.S. mail. The free drop-off locations accepting ballots through 8 p.m. on November 7th include:
- A ballot drop box at the Yakima County Courthouse on East Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Courthouse’s Security Station, 128 North Second Street, offers a drop box from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm today, Monday, and 7:00 am to 8:00 pm tomorrow.
- The Yakima County Auditor’s Office, 128 North Second Street, Room 117, offers a drop box from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm today, Monday, and 7:00 am to 8:00 pm on election day.

Other items on the general election ballot include three statewide advisory issues and a Yakima County advisory item related to the production, processing and retail sales of marijuana in unincorporated areas of the county.
The first results of the November 7th general election will be posted on Yakima County’s website – http://www.yakimacounty.us/. The City of Yakima will issue updates on the results of the City Council races on its website – https://www.yakimawa.gov/
General election results will be certified November 28th by the Yakima County Auditor’s Office.
