After some speculation that he might bolt from the Big D for a chance to become the head coach at his alma mater, former Prosser Mustang legend Kellen Moore has reportedly signed a three-year contract extension to remain the Offensive Coordinator with the Dallas Cowboys, eschewing Boise State.

In an article by ESPN.com Staff Writer Todd Archer, Moore is no longer actively pursuing the job with the Broncos choosing instead to remain in the NFL.

The story quotes Moore as saying that he "loves" Boise State and someday hopes to return to the program but, for the immediate future, he stated he is thankful for the opportunity afforded him by Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and Head Coach Mike McCarthy.

Moore's contract was due to expire at the end of the 2020 season. Both McCarthy and star Running Back Ezekiel Elliott showered praise on Moore's performance citing his knowledge of the game and personable nature.

Not only was Moore a state champion while attending high school in the Yakima Valley, he is also has a record-setting legacy at Boise State winning 50 games in four years as the Broncos signal caller.

In 2019, under his direction, the Cowboys had the top offense in the National Football League. 2020 was a bit more challenging after starting Quarterback Dak Prescott was lost for the season due to injury in just the fifth game of the season.
