Predators Rally to Beat Ducks
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Nashville Predators are now two wins away from their first trip to the Stanley Cup finals.
The Predators own a two-games-to-one lead in the Western Conference finals after scoring twice in the third period of a 2-1 win against the Anaheim Ducks. Roman Josi broke a 1-1 deadlock by beating John Gibson on a power play with 2:43 remaining. Josi's goal sent Nashville to its 10th straight postseason home win dating to last season.
Corey Perry's power-play goal put the Ducks ahead late in the second period, but the Predators tied it on Filip Forsberg's tally 3:54 into the third. Nashville also had a pair of goals waved off eight seconds apart in the final period due to goaltender interference.
Gibson handled 38 shots for the Ducks, who stay in Nashville for Game 4 on Thursday.
