No. 3 Oregon tops No. 4 UConn Women 74-56 on Gampel Court
Ruthy Hebard had 22 points and 12 rebounds to help No. 3 Oregon beat fourth-ranked UConn 74-56. It was the Huskies first loss on campus in seven years. Sabrina Ionescu added 10 points, nine rebounds and nine assists for the Ducks, just missing a record 24th triple double. The much-anticipated matchup lived up to the hype for the Ducks before a sellout crowd at Gampel Pavilion. Crystal Dangerfield led Connecticut with 19 points. The Huskies were outscored 44-14 in the paint. UConn hadn't lost on campus since falling to Notre Dame on Jan. 5, 2013. It was UConn's worst home loss since Dec. 5, 2005, against North Carolina.
