New Pac-12 Commissioner Enters CFP Talks as Agent for Change
Incoming Pac-12 Commissioner George Kliavkoff introduced himself to the world of college sports Thursday by taking one particularly notable position. Kliavkoff said the College Football Playoff needs to be expand beyond its current four-team format and his goal is to make that happen. The soon-to-be former president of sports and entertainment for MGM in Las Vegas officially takes over as Pac-12 commissioner on July 1, a gig that also includes a seat on the CFP management committee. While other Power Five commissioners have committed to no more than a thorough discussion about playoff expanding, Klivakoff will enter the conversation with a clear goal of being an agent for change.
