CHICAGO (AP) — Major League Soccer and Adidas announced a six-year extension to their sponsorship that will have the equipment maker supplying the league through 2024.

The deal was announced by MLS commissioner and Adidas president Mark King at the site of the league's annual all-star game. The cost of the extension was not disclosed, but Garber said it included money for the league's youth initiatives and academies.

The commissioner called it a "seminal moment," and said it was the largest deal in MLS history.
