Mariners Win Breakfast Baseball Game, Salvage One Vs. Nats

For the last week, the Seattle Mariners have not score more than one run in any game. In a 9:00 a.m. start in the nation's capital, the M's proved to be a relative offensive juggernaut defeating the Nats 4-2 to salvage the final game of the series.

Nelson Cruz, who was forced into right fielding duty in the non-designated hitter National League, smashed a three-run Jimmy-Jack in the six the inning to give the club a 3-2 lead.

Seattle travels to Boston tomorrow for a three-game set before finishing up this road trip with two against the Rockies in Colorado.
