Mariners To Give Away Functioning Edgar Martinez Light Bat Bobblehead

The Seattle Mariners announced this past offseason that they would be retiring the jersey number 11 in honor of Edgar Martinez in August. The weekend's festivities surrounding the ceremony will include a bobblehead night that features Edgar and his legendary "light bat."

If you recall, back in the mid-90's, Eagle Hardware used Mariners players as part of their advertising campaign and in one spot in particular, Martinez supposedly constructed a functioning lamp out of a baseball bat. The bobblehead will now be a functioning light as well!
