Rookie Shortstop Brad Miller garnered the honor by batting a robust .385, with four runs scored and seven runs batted in along with his first and second M.L.B. home runs in a 10-7 win over the Houston Astros en route to a three-game series sweep.

Coincidentally, Miller was born the year the future Hall of Famer broke in to the big leagues and went to high school in Griffey's current home of Orlando, Florida.
