Tokyo's Olympics are the hardest ticket to find — particularly in Japan. Organizers say there were 23 million tickets requested in the latest lottery for Japan residents. The bad news is that only 1 million tickets were available. Next summer's Olympics have generated unprecedented demand. Organizers say 3.57 million tickets have been awarded to Japan residents in previous lotteries. Japan residents are running out of chances. The next ticket offering will also be open to non-Japan residents. There are 7.8 million tickets for all events. Many go to sponsors, sports federations, the International Olympic Committee, or are sold outside Japan.
