Jimmy Lake Relishes 1st Chance as Head Coach at Washington
(AP) - Jimmy Lake will become the new head coach at Washington after the Huskies bowl game. He didn’t expect to be in this position and was caught off guard by the news Chris Petersen was resigning. But Lake is relishing the chance at his first head coaching job. Lake has been among the most sought-after assistants in the country in recent years because of his success working alongside Petersen, but opted not to leave Seattle. He was seen as a potential successor to Petersen and now gets his chance.
