How Washington State Ranks In Education Innovation

With today's age of technology which includes virtual learning and so much more, more and more states' education systems are adapting using these new technological advances to further the education process.

So far, it seems to be doing pretty well.

Gone are the days of maybe having a computer lab for the entire school. We've come a long way from chalk boards and the Dewey Decimal System.

Charity website Smile Hub ranked the states in the United States with the best (and worst) innovation for education and Washington State ranks in the top 10.

Washington also fairs better than average on several other categories pertaining to this list.

Washington State ranked first place for creative workspaces per capita.
Washington State ranked 7th for 'league of innovative schools' school districts per capita.
Washington State ranked 13th for education charities per capita.
Washington State ranked 15th for test-optional universities per capita.
Washington State ranked 18th for schools that offer advanced placement courses per capita
Washington State ranked 30th for resource center awards.

That last one is a little low on the list, but still worth mentioning.

First place goes to California, followed by Massachusetts and New York.

Last place would see South Dakota at the bottom of the list, followed by their neighbors to the north in North Dakota and Alaska as the bottom three.
