There's a new restaurant coming to Yakima that should get a lot of people excited.

It seems it'll feature French cuisine according to their Facebook page that was just recently launched.

As of this time there is no menu or grand opening date. We'll stay tuned and let you know soon as we hear anything.

Where is Chez Torrez in Yakima?

We do know the location as the sign is officially up. You'll find this place right next to Rosauers on 72nd in the old Subway suite. Pretty small place but some of the best French cuisine restaurants are these intimate settings.

It's also nice that West Valley is getting another dining option. So often so all these new restaurants go into Union Gap or downtown Yakima. Though there's nothing wrong with either of those locations they're a bit out of the way for those in West Valley.

I'm very curious on the menu. Could you imagine if we had something like you saw in Ratatoille at a local Yakima restaurant?

I reached out to Magen Torrez about this place. Chez Torrez (say it like Shay Torray) is slated to be a French-style cafe with soups, sandwiches, salads, and simple french cuisine like quiches, charcuterie boards, and a lot more. They'll even have imported French cheeses, pastries, and crepes. Neat!

Everything will be made from scratch in-house daily, including baguettes.

We can't wait!

As soon as we get an opening date and menu, we'll let you know.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
