Lions Pool Fights For Survival In Yakima Community
Lions Pool has been a staple swimming pool in Yakima since 1973. Generations of families have gone there to swim in their indoor area.
Students of Davis High School would also use Lions Pool for some of their classes like swimming and even lifeguard training.
To get to the point, the City of Yakima put out a plea stating that Lions Pool needs our help to stay open.

Lions Pool has been in Yakima for over 50 years. It was a place where anyone could go swimming in the nice, indoor facility. It was the place where many people in Yakima learned how to swim. Lions Pool is a memory for many who grew up in Yakima and seeing it on the closure list along with all of the other businesses closing would break the hearts of many.
How to help keep Lions Pool open
Donate is the best way.
City of Yakima's website has a donation section on the website itself where you can donate directly. That money donated on that section will be donated directly to Lions Pool.
Nice and simple.
As always, if money is tight, and it usually is, if you can't donate even sharing the link on your own social media can make a difference.

Not the first time the community came through for Lions Pool

City of Yakima listed a time back in 1984 where the community had donations and a voter-approved bond where it turned Lions Pool from a seasonal 'as needed' pool to a year-round pool.
Meaning you could even go swimming in the winter.
A place for high school swim teams, a place for children to learn how to swim, a place for seniors to exercise, Lions Pool is a lovely facility to have in Yakima and would be a shame to see it close its doors for good. Let's hope that doesn't happen.
