One of the great things about Yakima are all the amazing trunk or treats happening around the valley over the weekend and leading up to Halloween day.

One great one that's definitely worth checking out is the one at Suncomm 911 Communications located right behind Valley Mall on South 18th Street.

What makes this Trunk or Treat special and stand out a little is since Suncomm 911 communications is a dispatch for medical, fire, and more first responders, they're going to have police, fire, medical, and more on site if your kids have any questions they may have.

You certainly don't need to, but bonus points if your kids also dress up as a first responder.

24 trunks with plenty of treats for everyone.

This is happening Saturday, October 26th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

It's a great way to have your kids wear their Halloween costume more than once by having another fun trunk or treat outside of Halloween evening.

You'll find Suncomm 911 Communications behind Valley Mall in Union Gap on South 18th Street.

It'll be a great time and hopefully you can make it. Make sure to bring your friends and neighbors as well.

I mean, after all, it's free, so no reason to miss out on the fun to be had.

LOOK: How Halloween has changed in the past 100 years

Stacker compiled a list of ways that Halloween has changed over the last 100 years, from how we celebrate it on the day to the costumes we wear trick-or-treating. We’ve included events, inventions, and trends that changed the ways that Halloween was celebrated over time. Many of these traditions were phased out over time. But just like fake blood in a carpet, every bit of Halloween’s history left an impression we can see traces of today.
