Tickets vs. Wristbands
Wrist bands that grant you unlimited rides for that day cost $40 Monday through Thursday and $45 Friday through Sunday.
Tickets to ride the rides at the Central Washington State Fair are only $1.
However, the rides at the fair vary from 3 tickets to 6 tickets so if you keep that in mind, even, say, an average of 5 tickets per ride, depending on how many rides you're planning on riding, the wrist band seems the logical way to go.
If you just want to ride, say, the Ferris wheel and aren't into all the other ones then maybe just buying individual tickets is a fine way to go.

Just like the Fast Pass at Disneyland, you can get a Fast Pass for the Central Washington State Fair rides.
It's like TSA Precheck without the travel.
Once you have your wristband you can upgrade to a Fast Pass, but you have to do it on-site and there are limited quantities.
I mean, after all, if everyone had a Fast Pass, it'd be just another line.
Depending on when you go to the fair you may not even need a Fast Pass but if you're there on a busy night, it may just be worth it.
This goes for both wristbands purchased at the fair as well as ones bought in advance. When you go to claim your wristband, you'll have the option for the $10 upgrade to Fast Pass.
