Telling you my secret lunch spots means you are now in my circle of friends. This way, if I see you there when I stop by, I'll have someone to sit down and talk to. I'll ask you about your day and what's new with you. Then I'll steal one of your French fries when you aren't looking! (Just kidding, maybe.)

Yakima's Best Kept Secret Lunch Spots

I am the kind of lady who finds something she likes on the menu and then always orders the same thing. I am currently bummed out that two of my favorite secret lunch spots have closed. Main Stop is temporarily closed because of a fire damage but Lulu's Lunchbox is permanently closed. Excuse me while I weep. Those were my go-to places for great burgers and great turkey-cranberry croissant sandwiches.

Here's a list of lunch spots I like to frequent these days:

Spot #1: White House Cafe

They have a huge chicken salad sandwich that comes with your choice of chips or a side salad. There is something about that sandwich that keeps me coming back for more.

Spot #2: El Taco Loco

Get a good mix of salsas to go with your burritos, chips, and salsa here.

El Taco Loco is located at 19 West Yakima Ave.

Spot #3: El Porton de Pepe

My favorite spot to get chicken mole, and their salsa is SO GOOD, you can order it by the tub!

Spot #4: Ballesteri's Cafe

Under new management and the customer service here is better than ever! I love to come here for my "power lunches". You will see a lot of movers and shakers about town come here.

Spot #5: Effin' Egg

Who knew a modern place with a spicy name had a great lunch counter? Now you do!

Effin' Egg is located at 6530 W Nob Hill Blvd suite 400.

Spot #6: Roundtable Pizza

I love coming here for the salad bar. I try to sneak in incognito but they yell out your name when your order is ready. This is my favorite secret place in town to get a personal-sized pizza and salad to-go!

Round Table Pizza is located at 1300 N. 40th Ave.
