Do you know what blue paint on a tree means?

I didn't know either, so I set out to find out for us all.

I didn't even know blue paint had a meaning; I've never seen it up close in personal, at least I don't think.

I've probably seen blue paint on a tree and didn't even pay it any mind.

Since blue paint is meant to indicate that you are about to cross a property line, the best places to spot it here in Washington would be development sites, national and state park boundaries with residential areas, and utility land property lines. You might also see blue paint near conservation parks and other recreational areas.

The main thing to remember about seeing blue paint on a tree is that you should respect the property boundaries and not tiptoe over into private land. That would make you a trespasser!
