Want to go for a walk? I know a lot of good boys and good girls who do, and that is where you come in, to take them out! Of course, I’m talking about the pups and pooches at the Yakima Humane Society!

The Yakima Humane Society has done so much for so many creatures in the Yakima Valley, and that’s a big job that needs a lot of help and love from their friends on 2 legs, for their friends on 4 legs.

The City of Yakima shared YHS’s request on their Facebook page, letting the valley know that dog walkers are needed!

“Wanna go for a walk? Some friends at Yakima Humane do!”

If you have time, energy, and the love of taking a dog out of the kennel and out on a 30-minute walk, they could really use your help!

No Appointment is needed! You just need to be 18 years old or older with a valid ID.
Families are welcome to come help out with the dog walks, but the leash holder needs to be an adult.

You can give the Yakima Humane Society a call at 509-457-6854 to check in, or just show up (as stated above, No Appointment is needed).

The Yakima Humane Society is open Monday through Saturday from 9 am to 4:30 pm, with the office closed for lunch from 12:30 to 1:30.
