Whenever I am feeling down and out, sometimes I just need to get a good chuckle or a laugh. I like to turn to Twitter for goofy tweets that make me laugh or chorkle (that’s what I call the chuckle + laugh snort combo). One of the funny Twitter accounts I turn to is @mtsthelenswa.

SASSY MT. ST. HELENS IS A (FUNNY) HOTHEAD ON TWITTER

Okay, I get it, Twitter changed its name to X or whatever, but I’m still calling it Twitter. Who knew that Mt. St. Helens was so sassy. It has a foul mouth, too! I die laughing whenever it cusses somebody out or goes off FOR NO REASON. I think that’s the point, though, hello! You never know when a volcano will go off, so it’s quite fitting for Washington’s biggest volcano to “go off” on someone (or something). Fair warning, it uses the “B-Word” a lot as an affectionate term, so if seeing that sort of thing turns you off, then for goodness sakes, don’t follow Mt. St. Helens on Twitter.

WHO ALL IS ON MT. ST. HELEN’S SH*T LIST?

I’ve been following Mt. St. Helens on Twitter for some time now. I’ve seen it “go off” on  people’s mothers, calling them “garden tools”, if you get my drift. I’ve also seen it ranting about how much it despises humans who do stupid things near the volcano, like blast music on their speakers while hiking, or causing wildfires in Washington state.

Other Twitter accounts that are on Mt. St. Helens’ sh*t list often includes other American volcanoes, mountains, lakes, and fast food chains, especially Taco Bell. It really likes to do some "friendly" bullying to other Washington state volcanoes, too. I put "friendly" in quotes because the ribbing from Mt. St. Helens is all in jest, of course.

IT'S NOT EVERY DAY THAT A VOLCANO ERUPTS IN NORTH AMERICA

It has been 43 years since Mt. St. Helens last erupted. I am sure many residents of Washington remember where they were the day the volcano blew its top. The ash from the volcano hole spread far and wide across the state. I was about to start kindergarten and living in my home state of Tennessee, so I don't remember hearing anything about the eruption. I'm sure my parents were glued to the TV watching Mt. St. Helens erupt, along with the rest of the country.

Take a look at these 10 funny tweets from Mt. St. Helens’ Twitter account. These were the least foul-mouthed ones I could print!
