‘You can’t park there!’ Video of Flipped Truck in Yakima
“Sir, you can’t park there!”
That’s the immediate smart-aleck comment that sprung to mind as soon as I saw the video.
I, in no way, came up with that ‘salt in the wound’ comment that many use when passing a wreck, but I do use it WAY more than I should, luckily, to myself and with my inner monologue.
That’s also the same type of reaction that my friend gives at a restaurant when he hears a server drop someone’s order.
You hear the sound of breaking; then you hear my friend say with a smirk,
“Yeah, you can just put that anywhere!”
OUT LOUD, yes, he says that out loud!
With these types of snide comments, it goes back to the old fun German phrase ‘Schadenfreude.’
“Pleasure derived by someone from another person’s misfortune.” – Oxford Dictionary
Well, kudos to the people in this video; although there is some NSFW (Not Safe For Work) language, they didn’t express any schadenfreude while passing an overturned truck in the 40th Avenue McDonald’s location drive-through.
Check out the WTF video from Ron Morton’s Facebook page/ @mouthmorton TikTok from mid July.
A truck, obviously going too fast, went off the street and rolled into McD’s drive-thru.
Towards the end of the quick video, you see a tow truck approaching the scene.

We may see an accident like this, and drop our jaws, shake our heads, or maybe even laugh, but hopefully everyone involved is okay.
