Crafted (22 N 1st St, Yakima)

The editors were impressed by how Dan Koommoo and his wife Mollie came to Yakima and built the restaurant, filling a hole that the Yakima restaurant scene had. Crafted knows its ingredients and how to create a memorable taste.

Tokki-Ya (3508 Summitview Ave, Yakima)

Formerly Ramen-Ya, the restaurant changed names last year to reflect a more Korean heritage. The Seattle Met’s editor raves on Tokki-Ya’s Cucumber salad about how it is on an entrée level. Something I’ll definitely need to check out next time I’m there.

Los Hernandez Tamales (3706 Main St, Union Gap)

This isn’t the first time Los Hernandez Tamales has been in the spotlight (2018’s James Beard America’s Classics). If you’ve been there, you know exactly why this place is the best of the best. If you haven’t been yet, what are you waiting for? Luckily for all of us, there’s now a 2nd location at 6411 W Nob Hill Blvd.

If we’re talking about the Yakima Valley, we can’t forget Ellensburg. They also grabbed a spot in the Seattle Met.

Canyon River Grill (14706 Wa-821, Ellensburg)

Mix incredible scenery with top-notch steak and fish served in excellent portions, and add great drinks with a friendly staff and cooks that are on another level! Canyon river Grill will leave you with a smile and an experience you’ll tell your friends and family about. It’s no wonder it made the list.
