This is the Best Salad I’ve Ever Eaten in Washington!

I'm not a foodie by any means.

The people who are, impress me!

Their willingness to go anywhere, to try anything, just because it's food and it's new to them!

I'm definitely not like that.

I'm a fat guy, so I know what I think tastes good, and I do my best to review new products that I stumble upon with my 'Timmy Tries' articles.

Usually, when I find something at a restaurant that I love, I stick with it for every visit.

My mentality with that practice is that prices are too high and my time is too valuable to risk being disappointed.

However, starting last year on my birthday, I promised myself I'd try more things and attempt to eat better and get more salads.

(How healthy salads are at restaurants is a whole other topic of discussion that I may share my thoughts on some other day.)

So far, I've been fortunate and have enjoyed every salad I've eaten.

Whether it was Olive Gardens unlimited salad that comes with the entrees, Red Robin's 'Southwest Salad' with the fried jalapeños, or Outback Steakhouse's 'Brisbane Caesar Salad' (get it with crispy chicken, and OMG), they've all been good.

But last night, I had a salad, which is my new favorite and might just be the default go-to meal when I visit Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que!

Dave's Sassy BBQ Salad is what it is called, and it was amazing!

I got it with brisket, and I could not have been happier!

The contrast of coldness from the salad components, honey BBQ dressing, mixed with the hot bacon and brisket (or whatever meat you choose) worked perfectly.

Add to that shredded cheese and shoestring potato crisps (in place of croutons), and I can honestly say I can not remember a better-tasting salad!
