Our distinct cuisine options are endless on the West Coast (a.k.a. the “best Coast”) in the Pacific Northwest. Chefs fly in from all over the world just to sample West Coast cuisine. Food lovers will journey to a star-studded food festival in California, or pay top dollar for fusion cuisine in Washington state, and they will even make plans way in advance to attend a large craft beer festival in Oregon.

I have spent hours scouring the "interwebs" to find the crème de la crème of the best cuisine on the West Coast. When it comes to finding delicious food, I am one of the biggest fans you'll ever meet!

WHAT DID NOT MAKE THE TOP 10 BEST WEST COAST CUISINE LIST

Those of us foodies who relish (pun intended) in the West Coast cuisine scene might not be shocked at which 10 foods made it to the top of this list, which was taken from samples of surveys from Eater, to my subscription to Conde Nast Traveler, to Yelp and Travel Advisor reviews, and to me. No stone was unturned on my watch! 😂

Here is what surprisingly didn’t make the cut, and I fully expected to see these in the top 10 list: sushi, wine, (California) pizza, desserts, sandwiches, gourmet seafood, foraged mushrooms, and food trucks. Don't get me wrong; these foods and bevvies are a big part of West Coast multi-culture that make living here such a thrill for your palette! However, whether you’re in major world-class cities like Portland, Seattle, or San Francisco, or a one-horse town in the boonies, there are ten other cuisines that stand up and take a BITE out of their competition!
