It’s Hot, 3 Separate Fires Keeping Naches Firefighters Busy
It's hot and dry and those conditions aren't helping Firefighters busy with three separate wildfires Friday. Naches Fire Department officials say the fires are located in Naches Wenas Grade, Naches Tieton Grade and Summitview Grade. Level 3 evacuations have been ordered for those living on Gatliff Drive.
BRUSH FIRES ARE KEEPING FIREFIGHTERS HOPPING
Firefighters aren't saying how the fire started as they continue to battle the flames.
It's one of many different brush fires that have kept firefighters hopping all month. Fire officials are asking everyone to be careful with anything that could cause a fire.
MAJOR FIRE RESTRICTIONS ARE NOW IN PLACE
Fire restrictions are in place in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. Stage 2 Fire Restrictions ban campfires across the forest, including developed campgrounds and designated Wilderness areas. State fire officials have also pre-positioned firefighting equipment in Klickitat and Kittitas counties in case a big fire takes off in those areas.
