
Solarity Credit Union Donates Over $10,000 to Yakima Causes
Are you a customer of Solarity Credit Union? You may be happy to know the business supports some great causes here in the Yakima Valley.
IT'S ALL FROM EMPLOYEES
A press release says the credit union has delivered $10,965 to local organizations donated by the credit union’s employees. The contributions were made possible through employee payroll deductions and they help four Yakima organizations or Solarity’s four community partners: Yakima Humane Society, YWCA Yakima, Yakima Valley Partners Habitat for Humanity and United Way of Central Washington. Solarity employees also contributed 1,255 volunteer hours, worth an estimated $50,551.

SOME BIG DOLLARS DONATED TO YAKIMA ORGANIZATIONS
Employee monetary donations consisted of:
• $4,566 to the Yakima Humane Society
• $2,863 to YWCA Yakima
• $2,020 to the local United Way chapter
• $1,516 to Yakima Habitat for Humanity
In addition to helping the company community partners employees also supported other local causes in 2024;
• Hosting two blood drives for the Red Cross that collected 63 units
• A school supply drive benefitting kids served by YWCA Yakima
• Holiday toy drives for YWCA Yakima and Sage Advocacy Center in Wenatchee
• YWCA Yakima’s annual holiday adopt-a-family program
• Food drives to re-stock the Selah Naches Food Bank.
